Physical Therapy
Pregnancy is fertile ground for back pain due to center of gravity "shifts" as the uterus expands. Up to 50% of women experience back pain which typically starts during the 3rd trimester and can last up to 6 months after delivery. Postural changes, overburdened spinal muscles and loose joints and ligaments are all associated with back pain.
